Ironwoods Bowls started it's humble beginnings in Penobsquis, New Brunswick about 7 Miles east of Sussex.

Clayton Macdonald, founder of Ironwood Bowls was inspired by the beauty of the natural surroundings of New Brunswick woodlands and felt that they should be showcased in a form that would be appreciated by people around the world.

Using cutting methods from the 1800's that allows for very little wasted wood. All bowls are hand sanded and polished ensuring quality control that cannot be duplicated in the modern world of CNC bowl fabrication.

Being a forward thinker Clayton developed a lathe that cuts four bowls from a single block of wood which eliminates unnecessary waste of this valued resource.
